This styled bridal session at The Beck Barn was even more amazing than I thought it would be!  I like to plan styled shoots at the beginning of each year to recharge and get my creative juices flowing.  I had an amazing team of vendors that came together to help bring my vision to life!

It’s been a dream of mine to do a session with a classic VW bus and it finally came true!  This boho bridal session is the ultimate inspiration for brides wanting to do something minimal, but unforgettable!  The custom hat, handmade clay earrings, and macrame bouquet wrap were the perfect touches for this rustic and classic venue.

When I first started planning, I knew that I had to have Kristina as my model.  Not only is she gorgeous, but she’s also kind, adventurous, and strong-willed.  She wore a layered lace, long sleeve, gown and her cascading braids were to die for!  The florist designed a soft, earthy, flowy bouquet, which paired perfectly with the gown and accessories!

The days leading up to the shoot, I was a tad concerned about the forecast.  By that morning, there was a decent chance of rain, but I was determined to push through.  There were so many moving parts to make this shoot happen and there was no way we could reschedule.  Who cares about a little rain, right?

As Kristina and I pulled up to the venue, the sky turned black, the wind picked up, and tornado sirens starting going off.  Just a few minutes later, the torrential rains started.  We all kept our cool and got right to business.  Kristina was such a rockstar and she had no problem standing out in the pouring rain and thunderstorms.  After each set, we would rush back inside so she could redo her hair and I could dry my equipment.

When the VW bus arrived, I was so excited I could have exploded!  Rosemary, the VW bus, was everything I imagined she would be and it was such an honor to incorporate her into this shoot!  By the time we were shooting with Rosemary, there was severe flooding and the lightning was horrific!  We wrapped things up with a big smile on our face!  Despite the circumstances, this boho bridal shoot was a huge success!
