When Lynn, the owner of the historic Royster House, reached out to me about collaborating on a styled shoot, I was ecstatic! She and her husband have been working nonstop to bring life back to this historic gem and it is stunning! When we started brainstorming ideas for a styled bridal session, a tea party theme didn’t come to us immediately.
Lynn is known for hosting tea parties and she does all of the decor herself. Over the years, she has collected dozens of china and tea sets. So one day it dawned on me that we should incorporate her love for tea parties into our shoot.
After pulling out several of her collections, she started playing around with various tablescape designs. Let me tell you, I was floored when I arrived for the shoot. The different setups she had created and the cascading greenery and candles on the staircase was magazine worthy!
While our fabulous makeup artist, Cathy Bermudez, got to work on our gorgeous model, I worked on detail shots. I even brought along some adorable vintage heart-shaped glasses for our bride to wear and it was so cute! Taylor, with OG Event Planning, came along to assist me with portraits and all of us girls were having a blast! This styled shoot turned into a girls day that I desperately needed!
In the coming year, the Royster House will be open for micro weddings, elopements, corporate events, parties, and more! If interested in booking, please visit the Royster House page where you can contact Lynn directly. You will not be disappointed!
XOXO,
Simply stunning.
