Some families become part of your story as much as you become part of theirs. The Listoe family is one of those for me.
I’ve been photographing Jessie and Christian, and their sweet family, for many years now, and somehow, each session feels even sweeter than the last. There’s a familiarity there, a comfort that settles in quickly, and the sense that we’re simply picking up where we left off.
This time, we met for a mini session on their farm – a place that never fails to provide the most beautiful backdrop. There’s something timeless about wide-open land and soft light. It’s the kind of setting that lets children be themselves and families just be together.
Ellie and Delilah are growing so fast! That blink and you’ll miss it kind of fast, but they’re right in the middle of such fun ages. Full of curiosity, personality, and movement, they brought so much life and joy to the session. Watching them laugh, explore, and interact with their parents is a reminder of how fleeting these seasons really are.
Photographing the Listoe family year after year is a gift. These sessions are about noticing how children change, how parents settle more deeply into their roles, and how love quietly expands in all the in-between moments.
Sessions like this are why I treasure family photography so deeply. Familiar faces, a place that matters, and a season worth remembering. It doesn’t get much better than that.
