Blackberry Cove Wedding: Taylor + Tyler

Taylor and Tyler’s wedding, at Blackberry Cove, was truly the dreamiest of weddings!  We have all been captivated by their fairytale for many years and their special day was just as amazing as they are!  I feel like I’ve waited an eternity to share this wedding and it’s been such a blessing being a part of everything!

I first met Taylor and Tyler for their senior session and I instantly knew there would be a wedding in the near future!  That being said, I wasn’t surprised when Tyler reached out to me in the fall about planning a mountaintop proposal!  With their family and friends hiding all around, he popped the question.  It may have started raining, but no one cared!

These two didn’t have much luck with the weather for their engagement or bridal session either!  As we worked through the freezing temperatures and high winds, I jokingly said, “watch it snow on your wedding day!”  Well folks, the evening of rehearsal it started pouring snow!  Luckily, it was a beautiful and sunny day for the wedding!

This lovely venue was surrounded by rolling hills and snowcapped mountains, which paired beautifully with the soft florals and greenery.  The first part of the day was filled with three of the sweetest first looks – one with her bridesmaids and flower girl, one with her father, and one with the bride and groom.  All three were so emotional, but the first look with Taylor’s father had me in tears!

After Taylor and Tyler shared their first look, they did a private vow reading.  These are some of my favorite shots of the entire day!  We then moved through portraits and began to prep for the ceremony to begin.

As soft music echoed through the hills, Taylor and her father made their long walk together through the field.  I’m getting emotional again just thinking about it!  After the sweet ceremony, the happy couple cheered and laughed as they exited the ceremony.  Guests threw rose petals as the two shared a kiss down the aisle.

When it came time for toasts, the father-of-the-bride gave the sweetest speech.  He titled his speech “One And Done.”  When Taylor was young, her parents prayed that she would never go through meaningless relationships – they prayed that she would find “the one” and be done.

I give you that little backstory because Taylor had no interest in dating during high school.  But in her freshman year of college, she met Tyler and the rest is history…one and done.

Taylor and Tyler are the most extraordinary couple I’ve ever known and they are proof that fairytale love stories do exist.  Together with their friends, they danced and sang to Taylor Swift’s “Love Story.”  After the last dance, the newlyweds made their grand exit through sparklers – wearing their cute jean jackets and Taylor in her mother’s altered wedding gown.

To say it has been an honor getting to know these two would be a complete understatement!  To Mr. & Mrs. Oxtoby, thank you both for allowing me to walk this wedding journey with you.

I want to give a special thanks to Andrea Power, Everlasting Events by Andrea, for all of her hard work in putting this beautiful wedding together!  The day would not have been possible without her!
