When I arrived at the Gingerbread Meeting House for Katlyn and Matthew’s wedding, I was a little concerned because it was pouring rain and the dark clouds continued to roll in.  As I made my way into the venue and started unpacking my gear, I could hear the laughter and feel the love flowing all around me.  That’s when I knew that the storms were not going to put a damper on this special day!

Katlyn and Matthew’s first look could not have been more romantic!  When they finally got to see each other for the first time and embrace, the rain started coming down softly all around them…and they didn’t even care!  It was such a beautiful and intimate moment that they shared and one I will never forget!

Surrounded by their family and friends, Katlyn and Matthew exchanged their handwritten vows.  There were touching moments of tears and laughter as we witnessed the two become one.

I want to give a personal thank you to the couple and their sweet family, as they welcomed me in like one of their own.  I am honored to share the beginning of their story as husband and wife on the blog today!  Congratulations Mr & Mrs Hemmelgarn!!!
