Every once in awhile, you cross paths with someone who you know is going to change lives. Katie is that person for me.
I first met Katie in 2012, she was only 8 years old. I was doing a session for she and her family and even at such a young age, she was wise beyond her years. Katie is smart, kind, adventurous, and always goes out of her way to help others. I have gotten to know Katie and her sweet family over the years and she just continues to amaze me!
When we were trying to decide on a location for her senior session, Katie’s only request was that it “feel like home.” “Home” to Katie is the mountains, surrounded by God’s beauty. So we narrowed it down to Lake Lure. Surrounded by the lake and mountains, it was perfect!
This beautiful lady not only has a gift working with people, but she is also a musician. So of course we wanted to incorporate her guitar. I won’t lie, there were a few times during the session that I teared up behind my camera! I did my heart so much good to have this one-on-one time with Katie and I am so proud of her!
In just a few short months, she’s going to reveal which college she’ll be attending and I’m so excited to find out! Katie is also working on an album and I can’t wait to get my hands on it! I told her that I needed her to autograph one of these pictures so I’ll have for when she becomes famous!
I could go on forever about how much I adore this young lady, but for now, I’ll leave you with her beautiful senior session!
XOXO,
