This engagement session, at Marshall Park, was so much fun!  Soon after I met Sydney and Matt, I felt like I had known them my entire life!  She’s from Louisiana and he’s from Colorado.  So how did they meet living so far apart?

Sydney and Matt met at her cousin’s wedding in New Orleans 3 years ago.  They immediately hit it off.  As she was driving home from the wedding, she called Matt and they talked for her entire 4 hour drive home!  From there, they started their long distance relationship.

Once Sydney finished graduate school, she back-packed in Europe for 6 weeks.  When she returned home, she decided to move to Denver to be with Matt.  They had only been dating for 6 months, but it was true love!  After living in Colorado for a couple of years, they made the decision to move to Charlotte last July.

However, the story doesn’t end there.

The two went to Georgia, with both of their families, over the Thanksgiving holiday.  On black Friday, Matt took Sydney on a hike to a nearby waterfall.  This is where he popped the question!  When they returned from their hike, their family had decorated the entire house to celebrate the engagement!

Now if that isn’t the sweetest story of two people meeting and falling in love, I don’t know what is!  I’m so looking forward to their September wedding and thrilled to share their engagement session with you on the blog today!
