Peninsula Club Wedding: Aubree + Dakota

Aubree and Dakota’s wedding, at The Peninsula Club, has captured all of our hearts! These two have a love story that Nicholas Sparks should base his next novel on! Their romantic and glamorous wedding is truly one for the books!

The venue was filled with soft pink peonies, roses, and orchids. The towering centerpieces, surrounded by candles, paired wonderfully with the gold safari chairs and pink sashes. The 5-tier cake, with cascading florals, took centerstage in the reception space. The couple had a custom monogram, which was printed on the menus and the favors. Speaking of wedding favors, the couple placed a sweetly wrapped lottery ticket at each place setting. So creative!!

Aubree wore a mermaid style gown with intricate lace and satin. This beauty queen looked like royalty! She completed the look with a pair of Christian Louboutin heels. I’ve never had an opportunity to photograph a pair of these famous red bottom heels, so of course I went a little crazy with it!

I know, I know…you came here to read about their love story and get a glimpse into their breathtaking wedding, so I’ll get to the good stuff! 🙂

Aubree and Dakota met in the 6th grade, after she and her family moved to Nashville.  When she got home from her first day of school, she told her mom that she would marry Dakota one day.  The two went to different high schools, but reconnected after graduation.  Aubree still felt the same way that she did in the 6th grade, and so their love story begins.

A few years later, they were ready to take the next step in their relationship. Although Dakota said he would never propose on a holiday, he worked up a plan and proposed on Christmas Eve.  He convinced Aubree that her present was too big to wrap so he blindfolded her and guided her outside.  When she removed the blindfold, Dakota was down on one knee.  All of her family was standing around and everyone cheered as Aubree said “yes” to her soul mate!

There were so many tears of joy on their wedding day and Dakota’s reaction to seeing her was priceless! Just before the ceremony began, Dakota opened a few gifts from Aubree. One of which was list that Aubree had been making since the day they started dating. It was a very long list of everything she loved about Dakota. This precious moment had everyone crying!

It was such an honor to be a part of their wedding journey and they’re the sweetest people you’ll find! Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Dennis!!
