Julie and Nick’s Rumbling Bald wedding, in the heart of Lake Lure, was truly a fairytale in every single way!!  Their special day could not have had a more beautiful scenery, complete with touches of greenery and the most gorgeous pastel florals!  Every inch of the grounds was filled with laughter and love from their family and friends!

From the floral robes, to Julie’s fitted lace gown, to the breathtaking decor, it was such an elegant and classic wedding!  As Julie and her father made their way down the long sidewalk to the lakefront gazebo, Nick was captivated by his stunning bride!  It was an emotional moment for us all and the entire ceremony was so beautiful and intimate!

However, their story doesn’t end there!

When we first met at the venue to discuss the plans for the wedding, I mentioned having a canoe on the beach for portraits!  Julie and Nick did not hesitate and made plans to rent a canoe!  Their amazing florist, Patty Davis – Carolina Roses, fashioned a gorgeous arrangement for the canoe and at sunset they paddled out onto the lake!  It doesn’t get anymore romantic than that!!!

After the sun had dropped behind the mountain, Julie and Nick made their way back to the beach and the music from the reception was flowing all around the venue!  That being said, the couple shared a dance on the beach, and then on the dock (where some of their engagement portraits were taken), before heading back to join their guests!

Let me tell you folks, I was so in awe by this couple that I just had to sit back and watch the moment!!

Sweet Julie has been with me from the beginning so sharing these magical moments with her and Nick was such an honor and a blessing!  I hope you enjoy their story as much as I have!!
