Jessica and Alex’s South Mountain engagement session is one for the books!  This sweet couple is so adventurous and fun that I felt like I was hanging out with friends all evening!  The one thing I love most about these two is that they don’t care where they are, as long as they’re together.

Jessica and Alex met 5 years ago when they were students at Gardner-Webb University.  It all started one afternoon when Jessica was grabbing a to-go box from the cafeteria.  When Alex saw her that day, he was trying to work up the courage to speak to her and almost missed the opportunity.

When he saw Jessica leaving, he knew it was now or never and left his lunch behind to chase her down.  As he ran out of the cafeteria, he yelled, “Hey wait, it’s Jess right?”  Jessica turned around and replied, “Yeah, what’s up?”  All Alex could think to say was, “I hadn’t thought that far in advance.”  From that moment, the two were inseparable.

They have been through a lot in the past 5 years, from marine boot camp (never missing a day to write to one another) to moving 3 times together.  Alex proposed at Romare Bearden Park in Charlotte with their friends all around – in the pouring rain!

These two are truly something special and it’s such an honor to feature them on the blog today!
