Spinning Leaf Wedding: Miranda + Jimmy

This sweet couple had quite the roller coaster ride with their wedding plans, but finally got their dream wedding at Spinning Leaf!  When I first met Miranda and Jimmy at the local coffee shop to talk about wedding plans, I never imagined we would have to make a new set of plans to work around a pandemic!

It all started with their romantic engagement session.  Half way through, someone broke into my Jeep and stole many things.  On the outside, I was calm and collected, but I was freaking out on the inside!  Thankfully, Jimmy is a firefighter and is used to high stress situations.  He immediately called the police and we continued on with the session until someone arrived.

I tell this part of our wedding journey together because these two were so comforting and supportive!  They continued to check on me over the following weeks to see how things were going!  It brings tears to my eyes knowing that I get to work with couples who genuinely care for me the way that I care for them!

Went off on a tangent there!  Now back to their wedding story!

I’m sure you all saw Miranda’s bridal session story, but I’ll tell you again.  First of all, it was the most stunning bridal session!  It took quite a bit of work to get everything set up since we were in the beginning stages of the pandemic.  Miranda was so easy going through it all and the owners of the estate treated us like family!

As their May wedding got closer, the venue reached out and recommended that they postpone.  Miranda and Jimmy stayed calm and chose a new date at the end of July.  However, they were determined to get married on their original date and decided to have a private ceremony at a relative’s home.  Marry now, party later!

Miranda and Jimmy’s vineyard wedding was so beautiful and romantic!  Since they were already married, the couple chose to do a first look.  This worked out great because we were able to do all of the portraits before the ceremony.  It was a gorgeous sunny day and the vineyard was so lush and green.  The dusty blue theme was accented with magnolia leaves and pops of golds and whites.

It couldn’t have been more perfect and I am so honored to share their story with you on the blog today!  Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Johnson!!

XOXO,
