Oh, friends, do I have some pretty to share with you today!! This wedding has quickly become a new favorite! Trust me, Jessie and Christian’s classic and romantic Banker’s House wedding was an absolute swoon-fest!!
My photographer heart was on overdrive from the moment I arrived at the venue and the color palette that Jessie chose was perfection! The dusky rose with pops of rose gold, light pink, white, and burgundy gave the entire setting such an elegant feel! From the flowered invitations, to the hand-written vows, to the gorgeous gowns and four-tier cake, it all fit seamlessly with this historic venue!
As Jessie walked down the aisle, hand-in-hand with her mother and father, we all became a little emotional! Even more so to witness Christian’s reaction when he saw his bride for the first time! Their incredibly talented musician, James Tucker, sang and played the acoustic guitar which set the tone for the sweet ceremony! Jessie and Christian are the real reason I’ve been looking forward to this wedding for so long. They are so kind, so loving, and so perfect together!
As the wedding party was introduced into the reception, each person lined up to get ready for their AMAZING choreographed dance (it’s moments like this that make me wish I did videography on the side)!! The Spice Girls (Wannabe) kicked on and the guests went wild!!
Although the dance was pretty awesome, the cake was another favorite moment of this day!! Jessie’s sister, Jodi (of Rose’s Bakery), prepared one of the most spectacular wedding cakes I’ve ever seen!! AND she and their father built a swing for the cake…yes, you read that right…A SWING!!! Jodi wanted it to be a surprise for the Jessie and Christian and we were all blown away when she brought the cake out! She had even prepared six other cakes to frame in the wedding cake – in strawberry, lemon, almond, red velvet, marble, and vanilla! WOW…JUST WOW!! Let me add, Jodi not only created the cakes, but she also did Jessie’s hair and it couldn’t have been more stunning!!
From the moment I sat down with Jessie at the local coffee shop and got to hear about the couple’s story and plans for their wedding (and future), I couldn’t wait for this day to come. These two are kind beyond words and joyful beyond belief! Those two things alone made it an honor and pleasure to serve them every step of the way!
