The Barn at Blue Sky Wedding: Ginny + Nick

Ginny and Nick’s romantic and elegant wedding, at The Barn at Blue Sky, has captured all of our hearts. They have a love story that is straight from a Hallmark movie. These two met in high school and it was love at first sight. The wedding date that they chose, April 8th, is very significant because they started dating on this date 7 years ago. Nick also proposed on this date last year.

Let me tell you, their wedding was nothing short of a fairytale. It might have been a rainy day, but that didn’t slow any of us down. The venue was filled with white florals, which paired beautifully with the taupe color palette.

After Ginny had some fun with her girls, we cleared out the main floor so Ginny and Nick could have a private moment on the balcony for their first touch and letter reading. After wiping the tears, I rounded up the guys for their portraits.

As the guests started to fill the space, we prepared for what would be the most beautiful and emotional ceremony I’ve ever been a part of. Nick was fighting back tears as his bride walked towards him. As they held hands, and rested their foreheads together, a praise and worship song played. Ginny and Nick sang and praised God like they were the only people in the room. I would be lying if I said I wasn’t crying behind my camera.

Everyone cheered as they became husband and wife, and they shared a sweet kiss as they were exiting.

After the family formals, I had Ginny and Nick take a breather while my assistant and I cleared the covered patio space for their couples portraits. You couldn’t even tell it was pouring rain and the newlyweds shared so many sweet moments.

The reception kicked off with several toasts and just before opening up the dance floor, Ginny and Nick cut the cake and tossed the bouquet and garter. The rain might have kept us from using sparklers, but we improvised with glow sticks on the patio and it was perfect!

Getting to be a part of Ginny and Nick’s wedding journey has been such a blessing. Between juggling his football career and her teaching career, these two have built an unbreakable love. What an honor to share this part of their love story on the blog today!
