Emily and Blake’s wedding at The Lace House has me swooning! This historic venue, and it’s exquisite gardens, was breathtaking! This sweet couple have been married for 15 years, but never got their big wedding. Emily finally got the wedding of her dreams and their vow renewal brought us all to tears!
Emily and Blake first met in the military, while working on fighter jets, and it was love at first sight! They married while in the military and later had a son. Emily planned on having an official wedding many years ago and even bought a dress, which is the one she wore for her bridal session and the vow renewal.
They incorporated so many precious details into their special day. The garnet ring she wears as her wedding ring belonged to her late mother in law and it was the perfect way to include her in the big day. The wooden box that held their rings was given to Emily’s mother by her brother when he returned home from an Air Force mission. Blake’s wedding band was handmade with a surprise inscription, “comin’ in hot.” So many sweet touches!
Emily’s mother had many roles in helping make this day perfect. She made the cake, the bouquet, the veil, and helped design the invitations! Capturing this day for Emily and Blake was such an honor and I’m so blessed to work with so many incredible people! I hope you enjoy their sweet story as much as I have!
XOXO,
