Sweet Carrah has been a friend of mine since back in my Gardner-Webb days, so when she reached out about doing a post-elopement session I was ecstatic!!

After years of dating, Carrah and Josh always knew they would get married, but neither wanted the stress and chaos that comes with having a big wedding.  So a few weeks ago, the couple planned a date to elope and seal their love forever!  However, never in their wildest dreams did they predict that a hurricane would be coming through just before their big day!

Hurricane Florence sure didn’t stop these two and on the Monday of their elopement, the clouds broke, the rained stopped, and it was the most beautiful day!!

After getting married in Rutherfordton, they headed to Uptown Shelby to celebrate with a couple’s session!  Carrah and Josh live very close to Uptown and spend a good deal of time at the local coffee shop, so they thought it would be more personal to do their portraits in a location that’s special to them (and of course we had to break for coffee)!  It was the most fun and casual session EVER!!!  And get this…Carla’s Cupcake Corner truck was parked across the street from the coffee shop and I suggested that they get a cupcake to share as their “wedding cake!”  Everyone needs cake on their wedding day, right?!

It couldn’t have been more perfect and these love birds were so full of smiles and laughter all day!!  Congratulations to the happy couple!!!
