Some sessions are extra special, not because of the perfect light or the beautiful setting, but because of who’s in front of the lens. Photographing my niece’s maternity session was one of those moments that made me pause, reflect, and feel all the feels.

I’ve been capturing her portraits since she was a little girl – running around the farm, posing with her mom and best friend in the studio, blowing out birthday candles, celebrating senior year, saying “yes” to forever during her engagement, and walking down the aisle at her wedding. Every milestone has passed through my lens, but this one… this one might be the most emotional yet.

Watching her step into motherhood feels like watching everything come full circle. She’s always held such grace, joy, and strength – and now, she’s carrying new life with that same beautiful energy.

Getting to document this chapter wasn’t just a session, it was a gift.

Sweet baby Wyatt, you are so loved already. And to my niece, thank you for letting me continue to tell your story – it’s been one of the greatest honors of my life.
