This romantic engagement session in downtown Morganton has completely stolen my heart!  Cora and Tyler are two of the sweetest and most laid back people you’ll find!  This historic chapel was such a beautiful setting and their love for each other shines through in every shot!

Cora and Tyler went to college together and started dating during their freshman year.  It was love at first sight and they knew that they would eventually get married.  So when the time came, Tyler had big plans!

Cora’s parents have a house on Lake Greenwood and they had plans to visit for her father’s birthday.  So the two packed up and headed to the lake for the weekend.

After arriving, she was told to be dressed and ready because they were going out for a nice birthday dinner.  Once they were ready, Tyler wanted to walk down to the dock before leaving.  Standing on the dock, Tyler gave Cora a tight hug and then got down on one knee.  Of course, with the family watching (and a go-pro set up on the dock)!

Cora knew that the proposal would be coming soon, but she was so surprised that he chose the lake!  Such a sweet moment for an amazing couple!!

I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know Cora at a previous wedding, where she was a bridesmaid, and she is an absolute joy to be around!   I’m so blessed to be a part of this wedding journey and I can’t wait for their wedding next fall!!
