I have been so lucky to get to know Rebecca and Ryan over the past several months. After their amazing engagement session in February, we started planning for Rebecca’s bridal session. Then the pandemic made its debut.
The big wedding they had planned for seemed like a far reach. We proceeded with Rebecca’s bridal session, but the wedding plans changed. They had to make the difficult decision to move the big wedding to next year, but still wanted to get married on their original date. So they kept their reservation at the Morgan & Wells Bed and Breakfast and held a small ceremony on the grounds.
After a sweet ceremony, we headed down the street to a cute gazebo and the couple toasted to forever. There happened to be a wedding taking place a few doors down and the music from the reception blanketed the street. Next thing we know, a sweet song started to play and the couple shared their first dance on the sidewalk. I would be lying if I told you that I wasn’t crying behind my camera.
This “accidental elopement,” as Ryan calls it, was so sweet and intimate. What a joy to be a part of their wedding journey and I’m already looking forward to their big wedding next year!
XOXO,
