This Tipsy Goat Estate wedding was amazing in every way! It was a rainy spring day, but the weather cleared long enough for the ceremony and portraits. Taylor and Tj are such a fun and laid back couple and it was such a joy working with them.
This historic estate was jaw dropping and a photographer’s dream! Taylor chose a earthy color palette with tans, greens, and blush. There were fresh florals all around the venue that created a classic and romantic vibe. The bridesmaids and groomsmen wore tan and Tj wore an emerald green suit.
The ceremony area was nestled behind the house, with a stream flowing just behind the arbor. It felt like we were in a secret garden! The couple chose not to do the traditional bridesmaids and groomsmen on each side. Instead, Taylor’s grandmother was her maid of honor and her brothers, along with her best friend, stood on her side. While Tj had his brothers, sisters, and best friend on his side. It was so sweet and personal!
The Tipsy Goat Estate is well-known for their exotic peacocks. There was no guarantee that we would see them during the day, but we got lucky. In the middle of Taylor’s portraits, one of the peacocks came up to visit. Of course I had to halt everything and chase down my new feathered friend!
The ceremony was short and sweet, but very emotional. As Taylor began to make her walk with her father, she and Tj’s daughters started pointing and smiling at the beautiful bride. It was precious! The two had tears of joy as they saw each other for the first time. I think we all teared up.
Just as we were finishing the portraits, it started to rain. We got so lucky with the weather and Taylor was determined to do everything outside whether it was raining or not! The rain did make for some fun sparkler shots though!
I am overjoyed to share Taylor and Tj’s wedding with you today! It won’t be long and they’ll be welcoming a baby girl into the family! If you missed their sweet story and their engagement session, you can check it out here!
